The Pod is a digital-innovation hub in Brabant Wallon: a place for coworking, events, and hands-on tech training, from blockchain to cybersecurity. We built its website.

The challenge

A hub like The Pod does several things at once: coworking, a rolling events calendar, and a constantly-changing catalogue of training courses. Its site has to make all of that legible to a broad regional audience while staying easy for the team to keep current as the programme evolves.

What we built

Delivered at Cherry Pulp on WordPress (Bedrock):

  • A public site presenting The Pod's coworking, events, and training offer
  • A structured course catalogue covering the hub's tech programme: blockchain, cybersecurity, and more
  • Editorial structures the team can maintain themselves as the offer changes

My role

I worked on the WordPress build (backend and frontend) at Cherry Pulp, on the structured, regularly-updated content behind the hub's public site.

The interesting part

The real tension in a training hub's site is content velocity: it publishes constantly (new courses, new events, new sessions), so the site's value depends less on any single page than on how easily non-technical staff can keep it current. Getting the WordPress content model right for that continuous editing, on a Bedrock-based stack, was the core of the work.

Outcome

The Pod got a site that presents its coworking, events, and training in one place, maintainable by its own team: the front door to a regional digital hub. The site has since been rebuilt by another team.
